Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026 · This is a plain-English summary of how Confide Mirror handles your data.

What we process

When you upload an export from ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, we read its contents to generate your Mirror — a written reflection based on your conversations.

What we store

Your raw export is processed in memory and is not written to our database or persisted on our servers after your Mirror is generated. We separate account identifiers (like the email inside your export) from conversation content and do not need them to produce your Mirror.

Who else sees it

To generate your Mirror, the relevant text from your conversations is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), acting as a data processor. Anthropic's API terms state that data submitted via the API is not used to train their models. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers, and we do not train any models on it.

Your conversations contain other people

Exports often mention friends, family, coworkers, and sensitive details. We treat the entire upload as sensitive and handle it accordingly. Please only upload data you have the right to process.

Your rights

Because we don't retain your raw export, there is little to delete after processing. If you create an account and we store a generated Mirror for you, you can delete it and your account at any time, which permanently removes the associated data. Contact us for any data request.

Not a medical service

Confide Mirror is a self-reflection tool. It is not a medical or mental-health service and not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US) by calling or texting 988.
